Dell Computer Refurbished!
This video is intended to show you how I "Cleaned & Refurbished" an old "Dell Desktop" computer.
When I first started to dismantle this "Dell Desktop Computer", I thought I would be able to take out all the working parts that were of use and use them in a new build! How wrong was I!
The first thing I noticed was that the "Mother Board" was not a normal "ATX" form facter as the connection for the power buttons and reset ect, were totally different.
You will see in the video that the computer was full of dust and I think this is due to the processor fan the way it is situated and the strength of the fan which draws nearly 1 amp of current. Plus
I think the computer may have been on the floor under a desk which will make it easy for the fan to suck in more dust through the front grill which has no filter on it.
A dry paint brush and vacuum cleaner are handy tools to use when cleaning out the dust from small spaces. I also used Isopropyl Alcohol which you can get by clicking on my Amazon associate link here. There is no extra cost to yourself.
To speed up the computer I installed an extra 8gig of ram giving a total of 12gig and a solid state drive as the main boot drive.
I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and the computer is running fine and will be perfect as an office box computer for general use.
